Dr. Katz graduated from The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She is trained in many holistic modalities. Her favorite modalities are homeopathy and VSMT (equivalent to chiropractic).
Dr. Katz practiced conventional medicine in her home state of Connecticut for 7 years before becoming frustrated with its limitations. In 2007-2008 she studied acupuncture through IVAS (International Veterinary Acupuncture Society) and became certified in October of 2008. Dr. Katz has earned a graduate degree and certification in Veterinary Chinese Herbal Medicine through the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies granted in August of 2013. In December of 2013 she purchased a holistic practice in Bourbonnais. That practice has since closed. She started the current practice in Downers Grove in 2017. Dr. Katz is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute and a Certified Veterinary Homeopath. Dr. Katz enjoys being a veterinarian focused on natural and holistic methods. When not working as a veterinarian she enjoys physical fitness, singing karaoke, and astronomy . Dr. Katz currently shares her home with five cats and one lovable Pitbull.
